Wasps scrum-half Joe Simpson is out of Rio Olympics contention after dislocating his elbow during Great Britain sevens squad training.Although Simpson is expected to be available for the start of Wasps Aviva Premiership campaign in early September, his Rio hopes are over. Simpson had been included among an extended Great Britain training squad, from which sevens head coach Simon Amor will select his final 12-man group later this month.Amor, who confirmed the news about Simpson, said: It is really disappointing for Joe.In the time hes been with us, he has shown exciting potential, and it is a shame he is unable to continue towards the Olympics because of this unfortunate injury.
